I want you to understand that the life you are living is by the Grace of God and you should use it to serve God.
I want to preach on the topic that says “There is hope for the righteous.”
I want you to understand that hope is given to those who are righteous. If you are living your life without Christ, it means you are dying without hope.
People say, “Let me die and go and rest,” but I tell you there is no resting place for the wicked. Whenever a sinner dies, his problem continues, but when a righteous person dies, there is hope for him.
The Bible says in Jeremiah 31:16:
“Refrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears.”
What does that mean? God is giving hope to the righteous. You should not worry or cry. Even if you die, there is a resting place for you.
The Bible says in the book of Isaiah 3:10:
“Tell the righteous it shall be well with you.”
No matter what is happening in this country, let me tell you, the Bible says:
“Tell the wicked, it shall not be well with him.”
The wicked person will die and go to receive his punishment.
It pains me that today when a sinner dies, they write for him “Rest in Peace.” A wicked person has no place of rest.
Every believer should be careful to live a life that will give him hope. The way so many ministers of God are living their lives, when they die there is no hope for them. No matter your title—you may be a Bishop, Apostle, Rev Father, or have one title or the other in the church—yet if you are living a sinful life, when you die, there is no hope for you.
There is a man in the Bible during the era of the martyrs (that is the time they were killing the disciples). There was a General Overseer whom Apostle John recognized in Revelation 2:8. His name is Polycarp. He began to serve God when he was a child. Apostle John raised him.
They called him when he was 86 years old and asked him to renounce his God. They made fire to roast him the way they did to John. Do you know what the man said? He said:
“For 86 years I have served Him, He did me no wrong, how can I blaspheme my God and King?”
Immediately, they killed him. Yes, they killed him, but there is a place of rest for him.
Many pastors are using something to help Jesus. People who don't serve God carry their god, but God is carrying us. Many people are following Christ but not following His character. When Christ was on His earthly ministry, He loved sinners but hated sin. Today, many pastors love sin.
As you read this message, may God bless you.
