2 Samuel 23:1–3 (KJV)
-
Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,
-
The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and His word was in my mouth.
-
The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.
God’s nature is righteousness and holiness, and all who will uphold His glorious Dynasty must walk in that same nature.
This message is to strengthen the divine dynasty of God’s will for His Kingdom on earth. (Psalm 89:20–30)
What is a Dynasty?
-
A series of rulers from the same family or group.
-
A period when a particular family or group holds power.
-
A succession of leaders with shared heritage and legacy.
A Call to Divine Succession
Today, we see people who do not have the Spirit and nature of God leading the affairs of the Kingdoms of God and of our Christ—men with the spirit of Baal in the pulpits of God’s churches.
We must understand and strengthen the Last Day Church on God’s eternal purpose.
Divine Dynasty Requires Divine Power
-
Some political dynasties in this country have lasted for generations because they understand the power that sustains dynasties.
-
But one secret I have discovered: People do not last long in good things.
Before God handed His Kingdom over to Abraham and his descendants, He said:
"For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord..." — (Genesis 18:19)
So many great names we heard ten or fifteen years ago are no longer relevant—because they failed to build a legacy on God’s dynasty.
Show me a man whose name will not die on earth, and I’ll show you a man that walked with God.
(See Hebrews 11, the story of the Heroes of Faith.)
HOW TO BUILD A DIVINE DYNASTY
1) Follow the Principles of God’s Word
(Deuteronomy 8:15–18; Isaiah 59:1–4)
-
Abraham followed God to the point where God vowed to bless mankind only through him.
-
Following God’s principles of greatness is the secret to lasting success.
-
Many families and businesses that collapsed played with these principles.
-
The Dangote family, for example, has raised generations of successful businessmen and continues to thrive.
2) Fight for God’s Kingdom to Be Established
(Luke 12:16–21; Psalm 69:8–9; Jeremiah 51:20–26)
-
Living for God and thinking about God sustains your destiny and journey.
-
David was zealous for God's Kingdom, and God honored his own kingdom.
-
Jesus said, “I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
-
The Church—God’s Kingdom on earth—is under constant attack.
-
Those who stand for it enjoy divine favor.
-
Selfish men do not build dynasties; only those who fight for His Kingdom do.
Difference between King Saul and King David:
Saul fought for self-purpose and power, while David fought for God’s Kingdom.
3) Share Your Experience and Secrets with Your Children
(Genesis 49:1–30; Psalm 25:14; Matthew 13:11)
-
Every great achievement has a secret.
-
Secrets are the experiences of years of labor in a field, passed on for continuity.
-
God revealed the mystery of His Kingdom to the apostles to continue His mandate.
4) Humility Before the Ancient of Days
(Daniel 7:25–27; Psalm 24:1–5; Matthew 5:5)
-
The earth belongs to the Lord.
-
Those who will truly operate in its fullness build their anchor in God.
-
Humble people inherit the earth.
-
It takes humility to stay relevant on the earth.
SUMMARY
Those who fail to live for tomorrow will live only for today.
Men who build dynasties are men of generational thinking.
-
Abraham lived for his dynasty (Genesis 18:29)
-
Don’t labor as fools who don’t know how to get to the city (Ecclesiastes 10:15)
-
David lived for his dynasty
-
Jesus lived for the dynasty of His Kingdom (John 14:12)
True greatness is when you can look back and say:
“Surely, His hand was upon me.”
May the glory of God manifest in every man here for a historic life of honor, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
